Thoubal District Boxing championship concludes

Thoubal, May 25 2025: The 5th edition of the Thoubal District Level Boxing Championship 2025 hosted by the Thoubal District Amateur Boxing Association (THOUDABA) came to a close today.

The championship sponsored by Yaichenba Construction Private limited, Thoubal Okram and organised under the aegis of the Manipur Amateur Boxing Association ( MABA) at S Mahesh Boxing Academy, Wangjing Heitupokpi Awang Leikai saw a healthy participation of 95 boxers of various age groups in different weight categories.

The gold medal for junior girls' 48 kg category went to T Brainy who beat Thoibisana as junior boys' 50 kg title went to N Pradesh who beat Y Srinivash in the final.

Elite women's 48 kg category title went to H Karuna who beat E Thoicha in the final as the Elite women's 51 kg category gold medal went to N Manda who defeated Maibam Rosita in the final bout.

Youth men's 55 kg title meanwhile went to Th Naotomba who got the better of N Paringanba in the final as the youth women's 43-45 kg category title went to M Aruna who overcame L Chaoba in the final.

M Ronald in the meantime bagged the mini boys' 35 kg title beating Mushram Shakil in the final bout while L Jayaluxmi got the mini girls' 46 category gold beat L Lanthoi in the final.

Dignitaries present also handed out prizes and certificates to the participant during the valedictory function.
