Imphal, October 19 2013 : NISA, Thangmeiband and KSC, Lam-bulane settled for a goalless draw as TRUGPU, Nambol rallied to shock MPSC 2-1 in eighth round matches of the 8th Manipur State League football tournament at Mapal Kangjei-bung today.

Despite conceding an early goal when Khem Ba-hadur scored the MPSC opener only five minutes into the game, the Nambol side maintained constant pressure to restore parity which eventually came after the break as a throw in by S Herojit deflected from a rival defender and landed near Kh Netajit who made no mistake in slotting home from close range in the 71st minute.

Herojit also had a hand in the team' second score as his pass was promptly converting into the winning goal by T Dhiren in the 90th.The win put TRUGPU's point tally to 11 as the police side remain on eight points.

NISA, on the otherhand have 14 points and KSC four.

2nd Div: C Nanao scored the only goal in the 37th mi-nute as LSIC, Lamlai edged past PYPC, Pungdongbam 1-0 while SAK, Yumnam Khu- nou beat BSU, Keirao 3-2 in today's matches of the Ng Boboy Memorial 2nd Div tournament at ABA Ground, Kshetrigao.

In SAK's win, Nulkhohao Haokip (4th), H Premkumar (34th) and Astri-nao (39th) were the scorers while Naoba (22nd) and Nongthang (52nd) scored for the Keirao side.

Jiribam: Echel Club, Di-bong and YLC, Dibong Khu- nou were locked in a 2-2 draw in the fifth match of the 11th Th Radhamani Memorial 1st Division football league tournament at Jiribam Hr Secy School ground today.

Both the YLC goals were scored by W Naocha (47th, 76th) with the rivals equalising through Deni Kamei (50th) and Multhangso (52nd) .
