MPSC felicitates meritorious arm-wrestlers, bodybuilders

Imphal, September 17 2024: The Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) today accorded warm reception to arm wrestlers and bodybuilders who won medals for the club at the 73rd All India Police Wrestling Cluster (Wrestling, bodybuilding and arm wrestling) which was held from September 9 to 13 in Lucknow, UP.

The reception programme, where support staff were also feted, was held at the office premises of the Superintendent of Police (Sports), Manipur, said MPSC in a statement.

SP (Sports) encouraged and appreciated the arm wrestlers and bodybuilders at the occasion, it said.

Notably, the Manipur Police bodybuilding team were also adjudged overall team winners, it said.

The athletes and support staff who were feted today are as follows.

Arm Wrestling: Subedar M Amuba (overall team manager), W ASI S Rani (gold : 70 kg), WHC RK Tamphasana (bronze: 55 kg), Rifleman M Tomal (bronze : 80 kg), Jemadar L Poulinlong (coach);
Boby Building : Hav Ng Surchandra (gold : 90 kg), Hav L Okendro (gold : 60 kg), Const Ksh Arunjit (gold 70 kg) and Jemadar Y Nilbir (coach) .
