RCA, YUCC get easy win in U-14 Cricket

Imphal, April 13 2023: RCA Lilong and YUCC Kwakeithel emerged victorious in today's league matches of the 2nd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament.

RCA Lilong beat PCC Mayai Koibi by 173 runs in the opening match of the day staged at PCC Ground, Mayaikoibi.

In the match, RCA's Zoned smashed an impressive century as he hit 111 runs off 54 deliveries while Nawaz Sarif knocked 69 runs off 33 balls and they helped their team set a high target of 318 .

Albas Khan also knocked 38 runs off 36 balls in the innings.

Lamnganba Nongmaithem of PCC took three wickets in the innings while his team mates Lucky Thokchom (1 wkt), Rojer Laishram (1 wkt), Parvin Kumar (2 wkts) and Gopinath Lourangbam (1 wkt) fell the remaining wickets.

PCC was bundled out for 144 in 18.4 overs as RCA showed dominance while fielding too.

While Md Irfan dismissed 4 wickets, Zoned clinched another three and gave RCA the big win.

The highest scorer of PCC was Lucky Thokchom (44 runs) .

Zoned won the man of the match title.

In the following match staged at PTRC Ground at Patsoi Part IV, YUCC trounced SU Sagolband by 10 wickets.

YUCC dominated the match in both the innings as they bundled out SU for 35 runs in 9.3 overs and chased the target in just 3.1 overs.

The first innings saw YUCC's Loitongbam Joychang dismissing 5 wickets and K Malangba and M Ricky taking two wickets each.

The highest scorer of SU Romanta Sagolsem hit only 10 runs.

YUCC completed the chase in just 3.1 overs without losing any wicket as M Ricky smashed 26 runs off 12 deliveries while Yaikhomba Akoijam hit 6 runs off 7 balls.

Joychand won the man of the match title.
