Imphal, December 08 2008: AS THE pre quarter final of the 52nd Sir Churachand Singh KCSI, CBE Memorial Football Tournament 2008, organised by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) entered its11th day, the Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) entered quarter final as winner of group E after defeating Nungsai Chiru Youth Welfare Club (NCYWO) in today's second match.

Today's first match was plaed between KSC Lambu-lane and USA at Mapal Kangjeibung.

USA beat KSC 2-1 and won the match.

The firs goal of the match was scored by N Rakesh of USA in the 7th minute of the match and open the goal account of USA.

No further goals were scored by neither teams till the end of the first half.

However both teams scored one goal each in the second half of the match.

Players of both teams played the match with full co-ordination.

It was hard for them to dominate one another.

But Paojangam Haokip of KSC managed to score one goal against USA in the 86th minute.

It seemed to everyone that the match will ended as a draw but W Rangdong Koireng of USA scored one goal against KSC to everyone's amazement in the 92nd minute of the match.

Today's second match was played between Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) and Nungsai Chiru Youth Welfare Club (NCYWO).

It was the last match of group E.MPSC entered quarter final after defeating NCYWO 4-1 .

The whole match was dominantly played by MPSC.

NCYWO players found it hard to defend themselves against the onslaught of MPSC.

I Nillakanta of MPSC opened the scoreboard by scoring one goal against NCYWO in the 13th minute of the match.

He was followed by M Somochandra Singh of MPSC with a goal against NCYWO in the 27th minute of the match.

No players of NCYWO could scored any goal against their opponent team MPSC in the first half of the match.

However hard they tried to score goals against MPSC, they could not make a single score against the defense of their opponent team.

As the second half of the match began, MPSC began to attack against their opponent team.

As a result, I Nilakumar of MPSC scored one goal against NCYWO in the 53rd minute of the match.

He was followed by Ksh Kanta with a goal in the 80th minute of the match.

However, the efforts of NCYWO did not went fruitless.

KH Rohonglen of NCYWO managed to score one goal against MPSC in the 90 minute of the match.

The match was ended with MPSC winning over NCYWO and entered quarter finals.
