Kakching Subroto: ADLES girls win U-17 title

Imphal, May 26 2025: ADL English School (ADLES), Wabagai emerged as the U-17 girls' champions of Kakching District 64th Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament, while Pole Star School (PSS), Wabagai and Langmeidong Higher Secondary School (LHSS) entered the U-17 boys' final while PR English School (PRES), Kakching and Kakching Model High School (KMHS) will slug out for the U-15 boys' title.

The U-17 girls' final at Lamjao playground on Monday was a one-sided affair as ADLES crushed Sanatombi High School (SHS), Keirak 3-0.An own goal by Warhoi Chothe in the 14th minute helped ADLES take the lead before goals from M Thadoi (27th) and W Bedanti (39th) sealed the victory.

Meanwhile, H Premchand's 43rd minute goal helped PSS to a 1-0 victory over Padma Ratna English School, Kakching in the U-17 boys' semi-final, to set up summit clash against LHSS, which overcame Kakching Higher Secondary School (KHSS) by 2-1 goal margin.

The LHSS goals were scored by Jenish Yumnam (52nd) and Sh Manithoiba (59th) with KHSS pulling back one through Ch Regan (60+2nd) .

In the U-15 boys' first semi-final, PRES trounced Martin Grammar School (MGS), Kakching 4-1 with goals from W Kennis (4th & 39th), Y Adison (5th) and Th Nganthoiba (29th) as N Kartex (50+1st) netted the MGS consolation goal.

PRES will take on KMHS in the final after the latter defeated Green Ground Academy (GGA), Wangoo 2-1 in the second last four match.

Mekano (14th) and Mangal (41st) scored the KMHS goals while the GGA goal came through L Gonish (42nd) .
