YWC-L, LCCC register second wins in 7th MVCA T20 Cricket

Imphal, March 03 2019: YWC, Langthabal and LCCC, Chajing secured their respective second wins at the ongoing 7th MVCA T20 Cricket Tournament today at Langthabal Public Ground.

In the 6th match of the tournament, LCCC Chajing chased down 92 runs target set by Model Club in just 13.3 overs at the cost of 3 wickets to clinch their second win in the tournament.

Model Club were led to bat first and Tikendrajit was the highest scorer in this innings with 24 runs in his name while Pyarlal and Ajit respectively scored 15 runs and 9 runs to make it 91 for 8 in 20 overs.

Y Jillangamba of LCCC picked up two wickets in this innings and later walked away as man of the match while his compatriots Krishnakumar and Akbar Khan managed 1 wicket apiece.

In reply, LCCC stuck to their game plan and eased to the target through belligerent knocks from Nandakumar (33), Sanjit (24) and Pratap (21).Ajit, Dinin and Chaoba of Model Club claimed one wicket each in this innings.

Later, YWC which defeated NAPSA, Kha Imphal in the previous tie overwhelmed DSU by 6 wickets.

DSU posted a paltry 85 runs for 10 in 19.2 overs as YWC's Premchandra and Priyokumar picked up three wickets each to wreak havoc across the batting line up.

Jiten of DSU top-scored with 21 runs in 23 balls of this innings and Brojendro added 19 runs off 19 balls.

Sashikanta of YWC also scalped one wicket in this innings before he struck an unbeaten 32 runs off 28 balls to set up the huge win.

Priyokumar who claimed three wickets of the rival outfit also remained unbeaten and contributed 31 runs to emerge man of the match.

Kumar of YWC also gathered 8 runs in 16 balls to make it 89 for 4 in 13.5 overs.

T Mani of DSU picked up two wickets in this innings while Heramani and Somorjit claimed one wicket each.

CYCLONE will meet YWC-L in the next match tomorrow in the morning while CHAMP will take on LCCC latter in the evening.
