KAYO Trophy: Mema FC set up final date with Imoinu FC

Imphal, June 01 2025: Mema FC, Terakhong edged out Naba FC, Kumbi by 2-1 goals to set up the final date of the 6th KAYO Trophy 5-a-side football tournament with Imoinu FC, Kumbi.

Mema FC trailed by a slender 1-0 margin as Naba FC drew first blood after 10 minutes through Sahil but Mema FC fought their way back into the game and drew level after 20 minutes with Tombung hitting the equaliser.

After settling the first in a 1-1 draw, the two sides exchanged a series of runs to find the difference and their search remained elusive until Kabiraj breached through the Naba FC defence and cracked a powerful shot to put Mema FC ahead after 47 minutes.

With little time left to play, Naba FC worked relentlessly to return into the game but they faced stiff opposition from Mema FC and eventually the latter team walked away 2-1 winners.

Mema FC will now face Imoinu FC, who defeated John FC 5-2 yesterday in the first semi-final clash, in the title match.
