Imphal, May 31 2025: Imoinu FC, Kumbi entered the final of the 6 th KAYO Trophy organised by KAYO Kumbi at Kumbi Kangj eibung with a 5-3 win over John FC, Achanbigei today in the first semi-final match.

Imoinu FC and John FC played out a 3-3 draw in the regulation time of the keenly contested semi-final match of the 32-team 5-a-side knockout football tournament today.

Imoinu FC had the better start dominating the earlier proceeding and leading the first half 2-0 thanks to a brace from Sanathoi (10', 14').John FC resurged in the second half with Ratanbi (27') and Sarif (35') doing the recovery job Ratanbi had his double in the 39th minute to turn things around.

Imoinu FC however fought their way back into the game when Sanathoi completed his treble in the 40th minute and put back his team on level terms.

The game was eventually decided via kicks from the penalty part in which Shital and Suranjit found the target for Imoinu FC to seal the 5-3 win against John FC who drew nil in the shoot-out.
