Champ, Khagempali cruised to a seven wicket victory over CRAU, Khamnam Leikai in the MCA Under-16 cricket tournament at Langthabal ground today with Kenedy again excelling with both bat and ball to eventually bag the man of the match award.
Opting to bat first, the CRAU innings crumbled as Kenedy and Boba ripped through the batting line-up with four wickets apiece.
The Khamnam Leikai youngsters managed a miserly 67 runs in 19.5 overs in the 35 over game.
In reply, Champ lost only three batsmen before overhauling the target in just 11.5 overs with Kenedy contributing 29 runs from 23 deliveries.
In the under-22 match of the tournament played at THAU ground, Jotish claimed six FORCE wickets to help TRAU record a comfortable 114 run victory.
Set to score 184 runs for victory all the FORCE batsmen were forked out with only 69 runs on board.
Batting first, TRAU scored 183 runs in 29 overs with Biju (47) and Simon (29) being the notable scorers.
CHAMP and CRAU will play tomorrow.
