Imphal, June 07:
Concerned over factionalism within KCP which gives undue advantage to enemy and its possible ramifications in the ongoing freedom struggle, KYKL, UNLF and PREPAK would start taking up 'pro-active' measures towards bringing together all the KCP factions.
Announcing this in a joint statement, secretary publicity and research of KYKL Lanngamba Mangang and deputy secretary organisation of UNLF N Ibochou said that looking at the current activities of the KCP factions, KYKL, UNLF and PREPAK realised that mistake of coming to the conclusion that the unification process of KCP factions had been over after the party conference of KCP convened from October 20 to 23 in 2006 .
Unification process within KCP should go on until a stage has come about in which KCP can consolidate its own position as a revolutionary outfit.
Consequently, KYKL, UNLF and PREPAK have decided to extend every possible assistance in completion of task which was left unaccomplished along with taking up 'pro-active measures, the statement said, while appealing to all the KCP factions to unite in the greater interest of the freedom struggle.
The joint statement further pointed out that re-unification process of the various KCP factions should be carried out under the leadership of Senggoi Meitei since he was the duly elected president of the party in its general congress.
