NESU FC, MFCC progress to 2nd Dabang Trophy quarterfinals

Imphal, January 07 2025: NESU FC and MFCC prevailed in contrasting styles to advance to the semifinals of the 2nd Dabang Trophy on Tuesday.

NESU FC beat FLMFC in a thrilling penalty shootout following a goalless stalemate in regulation time.

In the shootout, NESU delivered on six of their seven attempts to secure a 6-5 triumph over their dogged opponents.

Md Saroj, Basanta, Rakesh, Md Tajuddin, Bikaram and Aman converted their shots to help their side win the quarterfinal match.

The second quarterfinal match saw MFCC ride on Suprime's goal to grind out a 1-0 victory over PSWAS on their way to the semifinals.

Suprime scored the decisive goal in the 10th minute.
