RCA, TCMDC script contrasting wins

Imphal, December 26 2024: RCA and TCMDC registered contrasting victories in Thursday's fixtures of the 4th MNCA Superplate Tournament.

RCA secured a dominant 76-run win over RULE at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.

Asked to bat first, RCA posted a total of 225/7, with Syed Hussain leading the charge with a composed 85, supported by Alfash (52), Aziz Mirza (28), and Naaesh Hussain.

The team lost wickets to N Sarojkumar (2), and one each to Nepram Richer, L Bishorjit, and Jay Singh.

In response, RCA's bowlers dismissed RULE for 150 in 28.5 overs, sealing a comprehensive victory.

Zamir Khan was the standout bowler, claiming 3 wickets, while Illiyas took 2, with Nasirshah Alam, Danish Khan, and Alfash each contributing 1 .

For RULE, Rajkumar Her-achandra (31) and N Sarojkumar (29) were the top scorers in their team's unsuccessful chase.

Meanwhile, TCMDC triumphed over AKSDO by 19 runs at Model Hr Sec & Oriental College Ground.

Electing to bat, TCMDC struggled with the bat and were dismissed for 130 in 33.4 overs.

Saranthem Priyobra-ta top-scored with 58, while Takhellambam Nganba added 25 .

The remaining batters failed to reach double figures.

For AKSDO, Saikhom Kaiku impressed with the ball, taking 4 wickets, while Akash Laishram claimed 3 and Rohit Laishram took 2.Despite their modest total, TCMDC's bowlers delivered a disciplined performance, bowling AKSDO out for 111 in 29.3 overs.

Suraj Kharibam and Thongam Nganthoi claimed 2 wickets each, while Rain Urikhimbam, N Arbin, and Laishram Valindra each took 1 .
