NAPSA, KSDO cruise in MNCA Plate Tournament

Imphal, December 26 2024: NAPSA and KSDO both cruised to an identical 7-wicket triumph in the 9th MNCA Plate Tournament on Thursday.

NAPSA restricted THAU to 158/6 before they chased down the target in 26 overs for their commanding 7-wicket victory.

Two wickets from Bipin Ningthoujam and one each from Tongbram Dhanakuber, Heisnam Boney, Albert Sorokhaibam, and Chingkhei Kshetrimayum helped NAPSA reduce THAU to 158/6 as Khundrakpam Aden (41), Yoihenba Thoudam (32) and Kh Romesh (31) w ere the key run-getters in their innings.

NAPSA took 26 overs to achieve the target, with Heisnam Boney leading the way with an impressive 85 .

Support came from Bijaykaran Yumnam (19) and Chingkhei Kshetrimayum (17 not out) .

KSDO also enjoyed a 7-wicket win over YAC at Cherapur.

Deciding to bat, YAC were restricted for 166/8 as Krishnananda Khwairakpam (56) and Bhopendra Mangang (54) led the batting efforts.

Riyajuddin and Abdul Rahque led the KSDO attack with 2 wickets apiece, while Lakimbur, Kh Firdos, Shah Jahan, and Shah Nawaz each took one.

KSDO reached their target in just 20.1 overs, with Arif Khan playing a match-winning knock of 74 not out, supported by Tarique Aziz (50) .

Nawaz Sharif (11), Abdul Rahque (10), and Shah Jahan (5 not out) also contributed to the chase.
