UCFC stage comeback win in Chandel Super League; KFC cruise in 2nd Div League

Imphal, October 19 2024: United Chandel FC rallied from behind to outscore Chumbang FC 3-1 in Saturday's action of the Chandel Super Division Football League 2024 at Ziontlang Ground.

In a see-saw first-half battle, Chumbang FC stole a march after Ahong converted in the 32nd minute.

United Chandel responded through Lael, who equalised for his team in the 40th minute.

The tide turned in the second half as Phowlngson put United ahead in the 54th minute, followed by Lalthangchung extending their lead in the 73rd minute, eventually wrapping up the victory.

With the result, United Chandel extended their lead in the standings, now sitting at seven points from their three games.

Chumbang FC, on the other hand, are second with three points from two matches.

Meanwhile, Khoriibung FC put four goals past Morningstar FC in the Second Division League.

Ts Wartung opened the scoring from the penalty spot in 12th minute.

Then Kh Ruwngson doubled the advantage in the 19th minute as K Willson made it 3-0 in the 27th minute.

W Phulson found their fourth goal in the 75th minute, ensuring a comprehensive win for Khoriibung FC .
