Manipur clinch 4 gold medals at Sub-Jr National Sepaktakraw Championship

Manipur ended their impressive campaign with four gold medals at the 27th Sub-Junior National Sepaktakraw Championship 2024, which wrapped up on Thursday at Mini Stadium, Trikarpur, Kasaragod district in Kerala.
The state dominated competitions across boys' regu and squad events, and boys' and girls' team events to make their mark in the five-day championship.
In the boys' regu event, Manipur beat Bihar 27-15 15-13 in the final.
Earlier, the state boys overcame Uttar Pradesh 13-15 15-7 15-9 in their semifinal contest after they got the better of Kerala 15-13 15-17 15-11 .
The boys' squad also made their mark with a dominant 15-5 15-10 win over Assam in their summit clash.
They cruised past Maharashtra 15-8 15-7 in the quarterfinal and continued their peerless form in the semifinal with a 15-10 15-9 triumph over Delhi.
Manipur's two other gold medals came courtesy of both boys' and girls' teams.
The boys' squad dominated Uttar Pradesh 15-8 15-7 in the first regu and wrapped up the final match with a 15-6 15-7 second-regu performance.
The girls' team, meanwhile, outclassed Kerala by a 3-0 margin in their final match.
In addition to the gold medals, Manipur collected two silver medals through girls' squad and regu teams.
