YWC, CYCLONE, YUCC & RULE have it easy in MNCA Men's U-23 Tournament

YWC (Langthabal), CYCLONE (Thangmeiband), YUCC (Kwakeithel Moirangpurel) and RULE (Meitram) all won their matches with relative ease in the 1st MNCA Mens U-23 Tournament on Wednesday.
YWC produced an all-round performance to overpower THAU by 268 runs in their league encounter at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-III Cherapur, Thoubal.
A collective batting display by the Langthabal squad helped them post a mammoth 353/8, with knocks from Maibam Subash Singh (82), Soubam Robinson Singh (67 not out), Seram Robinson (51), Herojit Nepram Singh (29), Sorokhaibam Thoungamba Singh (24), Yumnam Chingkhei Nganba (22), Ngangbam Bingson Singh (21) and Sorokhaibam Dailish Singh (2 not out).
YWC then followed it up with a brilliant bowling performance to wipe out the THAU batting lineup in 28.5 overs for 85.Yenshenbam Vivek Singh bowled well to pick up 4 wickets as Yumnam Athouba did his bit with 3, Heisnam Manikanta Singh took 2 and Yumnam Chingkhei Nganba contributed one in their emphatic victory.
Pukhrambam Hilbert Singh (34) was the lone performer for THAU in their dismal run chase.
Earlier, Khumukcham Romesh Singh was the pick of THAU's bowlers, taking 4 wickets.
CYCLONE enjoyed a resounding 146-run win over YPHUC at Lairenjam Public Ground, Imphal.
Electing to bat, CYCLONE scored 235/9 with contributions from Aditya Prasad (40), Aditya Das (37), Aribam Ronald Sharma (19), Donny (18), Maverick Wakambam (17) and Amar Sandham (13 not out).
In the process, they lost 2 wickets each to Krishnakanta Ngangkham, Bishworaj Sharma, Irom Ishor and Irom Sunny Singh.
The Thangmeiband side then took 29.3 overs to bowl out YPHUC for 89 for a dominant win.
Thomson Moirangthem stood out, scalping 5 wickets for CYCLONE, with both Samsung Meitei Heisnam and Aditya Das claiming 2 wickets.
Irom Sunny Singh (34) was the lone bright spot for YPHUC in their run chase.
YUCC thumped IBSA by 5 wickets at Model Hr Secondary & Oriental College Ground, Imphal.
IBSA batted first and managed 156 after being dismissed in 32.4 overs.
Kadamjit Moirangthem and Devraj Nongthombam starred in YUCC's bowling attack by claiming 4 scalps apiece while Somraj Laishram took 2 wickets.
In their response, efforts by Laishram Bidyashwor Singh (53 not out) and Ningthoujam Rohit Singh (38) guided their team to a comfortable victory.
In the process, YUCC lost 2 wickets to Pravesh and one each to Lairenjam Ansh, Nelson Keithellakpam and Rajababu.
RULE, meanwhile, thrashed PTRC by 100 runs at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
RULE decided to bat and scored 192/9.Their total revolved around Sanjenbam Suresh's unbeaten 111, backed by Sanjenbam Ananda Singh's 23 and Boocker Kangjam's 22 .
They wrapped up the win after dismissing PTRC in 22.4 over for 92.Boocker Kangjam turned out to be the star performer for RULE by claiming 5 wickets.
Sanjenbam Ananda Singh and Sanjembam Somokanta Khuman did their bit with 2 wickets each while Jay Singh added one in their triumph.
