MSBA to host 1st North East Invitational Masters Badminton Tournament 2025

Imphal, June 14 2025: The Manipur State Badminton Association (MSBA) is set to host the inaugural North East Invitational Masters (Veteran) Badminton Tournament from June 25 to 28, 2025 at the MSBA Indoor Hall, Kabow Maning Leikai, near DM University, Imphal.

According to MSBA's circular, the tournament will feature men's doubles in seven age categories (35+ to 65+), along with women's and mixed doubles (40+) .

Players must present valid BAI ID and Aadhaar credentials for eligibility.

With an overall prize purse of Rs 9 lakh, champions will receive Rs 50,000, runners-up Rs 20,000, and semifinalists Rs 10,000 each.

Matches will follow the best-of-three, 21-point rally scoring system, though shorter formats may be used if required.

Entries must be submitted via email to [email protected] by June 21, along with proof of payment of the Rs 2,000 entry fee per pair.

The draws will be announced on June 24, with matches played across three courts.

The official shuttle for the event is the Yonex AS-2 .

MSBA will provide lunch and dinner for participants, though accommodation must be self-arranged.
