YPHUC, AKSDO, LOTUS, SHADOW ease to wins in MNCA Boys' U-14 Tournament

Imphal, February 11 2025: YPHUC, AKSDO, LOTUS and SHADOW enjoyed easy victories in Tuesday's fixtures of the 2nd MNCA Boys U-14 Tournament 2024-25.YPHUC inflicted a crushing 10-wicket defeat on FORCE at Lairenjam Public Ground.

Electing to field first, they bowled out FORCE for a mere 31 runs in 10.1 overs, with standout performances from Jangammei Maringmei and Purujit Mutum, both claiming four wickets each.

The chase was swift, as openers Jangammei Maringmei (10 not out) and Purujit Mutum (12 not out) comfortably reached the target in just three overs, sealing a resounding victory.

AKSDO, on the other hand, pummelled WYC by 368 runs at SEDOC Ground, Kongba Dhobi Lampak.

Batting first, AKSDO amassed an imposing 380/4, led by stellar centuries from Chingamba Elangbam (144) and Borish Khundrakpam (100), alongside key contributions from Bidyananda Ningthoujam (44 not out) and Ushmal Ali (22).Their bowling unit then dismantled WYC's batting lineup in just 12 overs, restricting them to a mere 12 runs.

Chingamba Elangbam spearheaded the attack with four wickets, while Kh Boiton took three, and Laishram Poirei and Saikhom Thoihenba chipped in with one wicket each.

LOTUS brushed aside RULE by 5 wickets at PTRC Ground, Patsoi.

After opting to bat, RULE posted a competitive 211/7, with notable contributions from Sanathoi Sanjenbam (54) and Ng Nongpoknganba (52) .

In response, LOTUS chased down the target in 28.4 overs, thanks to a match-winning century from Taiyenjam Sachin (103 not out), supported by Elangbam Yohenba (27) and Prichash Maibam (11 not out) .

Meanwhile, SHADOW outplayed SSC by 4 wickets at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothang.

SSC batted first, putting up 218/7, anchored by an unbeaten century from Md Anash (102 not out) and a steady 24 from Ajman.

SHADOW successfully chased the target in 29.4 overs, reaching 219/6.Sagatpam Telheiba and Arubam Goshan both registered half-centuries, with additional support from Thoudam Lanchenba (27) and Kh Devis (23), ensuring their team's triumph.
