State judokas finish second at National Judo Championships

Imphal, January 24 2025: Manipur finished runners up at the Sub Junior and Cadets National Judo Championships 2024-25, held at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mahalunge, Belewadi, Pune.

The state team rounded out their campaign with four gold and one bronze medals to finish second in the competition.

The team's impressive performance was highlighted by gold medal victories from Lucky Laishram, Thokchom Parvindev, Kh Monika, and Y Bipilia.

Lucky topped the men's -55kg category for his yellow metal, Parvindev claimed the top podium honour in men's -66kg category, Kh Monika won the women's -63kg category, and Bipilia triumphed in the women's -70kg category.

Adding to the medal haul, Yumnam Yuhenba secured a bronze in the men's -60kg category .
