MPSC felicitates police medallists

Imphal, September 17 2024: Manipur Police Sports Club on Tuesday held a reception ceremony for its medallists at the office of super intendent of police (sports) .

The police club's athletes were felicitated for their medal-winning performances at the 73rd All India Police Wrestling Cluster (wrestling, bodybuilding & arm wrestling) Championship held recently at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh from September 9 to 13, 2024 .

In the bodybuilding competition, havildar Ng Surchandra Singh (90kg), havildar L Okendro Singh (60kg) and constable Ksh Arunjit Meitei (70kg) each clinched a gold medal.

In arm-wrestling, W/ASI S Rani Devi (70kg) won gold medal while both WHC RK Tamphasana Devi (55kg) and rifleman M Tomal Singh (80kg) took a bronze.

The MPSC team was accompanied by team manager subedar M Amuba Singh, arm-wrestling coach jemadar L Poulinlong and bodybuilding coach jemadar Y Nilbir Singh.
