AR organises volleyball matches in Ukhrul

Imphal, June 14 2024: Assam Rifles organised friendly volleyball matches in Hoyang village, Ukhrul district, to engage with the local community and promote sportsmanship as a means to combat insurgency.

Hoyang team won the final match, which witnessed by 48 villagers participated.

The officiating company commander of Gamnoum Company Operating Base interacted with the villagers, felicitated the winning team, and provided refreshments.

The village authorities and villagers thanked the Assam Rifles for the volley matches, and offered their support and cooperation to the security forces in the future, said an IGAR (S) release.
