State team leave for Canoe Sprint Champ

Imphal, January 09 2014: President of All Manipur Canoeing & Kayaking Association Jyotin Waikhom flagged off a team of Canoeing & Kayaking of Manipur from Kangla Moat today.

The team comprising 44 players and officials left Imphal to participate in the upcoming 24th National Canoe Sprint Championship 2014 due to be held at Upper Lake, Bhopal from 14th to 20th January, 2014 .

There are in all 13 women peddlers in the team which would compete in 82 different events of the said championship.

Naresh Thokchom, secretary of All Manipur Canoeing & Kayaking Association (AMCKA) and Kshetri Romeo are also part of the team as team manager and coach respectively.
