State Boxing Championship: S Binita reaches youth and elite women's 64 kg final

Imphal, January 30 2020: Soibam Binita defeated Thounaojam Alena to reach youth and elite women's 64 kg final today in the ongoing 1st Manipur State Invitation Boxing Championship organised by Manipur Amateur Boxing Association at Boxing Ring Khuman Lampak.

The fourth day of the tournament also saw completion of final line ups for youth and elite women's 48 kg and 51 kg categories.

Grace Yumnam today earned a walk over in the semi-final to set up 48 kg final date with Tingmila Doungel who overcame Thounaojam Eliza Devi in another semi-final bout held today.

Meanwhile, Sanathoi Hemam will be facing Maisnam Ichan in the 51 kg (1980-2003) final.

Sanathoi reached the final beating Mayengbam Puja in the semi-final today while Ichan earned the final berth without facing her opponent.

Sub-Junior Girls
The final line up of various weight categories of sub-junior girls were also completed today.

Dikila Lepcha defeated Mangsatabam Devina Devi to earn the sub-junior girls' 43 kg title ticket.

Dikila will be meeting Ningthoujam Ancika Devi who got a bye in another semi-final today, in the final match.

Elangbam Thoicha will take on Esther L Baite in the sub-junior girls 45 kg final as the former had beaten T Rojibala and Esther defeated Taorem Rina Devi in their respective semi-final bouts today.

Telen Chingneilhing Kom defeated N Dolly Devi in a 49 kg semi-final bout to set up title clash with Mayengbam Sagar Chanu who outlasted S Anjali in another semi-final clash.

Marvila Karong who got the better of Karoung Kimchoichong Kom in the 52 kg semi-final clash will on the other hand face Sanabam Surmala who got a walk over in the title clash.

Junior girls
Tongbram Sophia Chanu was also seen beating Timreichon Kasomwoshi in a semi-final bout of the junior girls' 46 kg category.

She will play Sarangthem Athoi in the final.

Thokchom Tanu also reached the junior girls' 48 kg final beating Huidrom Karuna in a semi-final bout.

Sub-junior boys (2008)
Thingom Rishi made it to the final of the sub-junior boys' 31 kg final as he got the better of Lauriyam Jimkely today in a semi-final bout.

The title clash of the sub-junior boys' 33 kg category will now be played between Ch Naoba Singh who saw off Tonambam Chingkheinganba in a semi-final match and Pukhrambam Lamnganba Singh who overcame Khuraijam Obama in another semi-final match.

In the 40 kg final, Thaimei Jackson who earned a walk over in the semi-final will face Serto Sairenchung Kom while Shel Asem Moirangcha will take on Rajkumar Yumkhaibam in the 43 kg final.

Nongmaithem Nelson Singh who beat Huidrom Sanaton will be meeting PS Mashungchui in the 35 kg final while Takhellambam Amarjit Singh will meet Kh Bidyananda singh in the 37 kg final.

Sub-Junior Boys (2006-2007)
Pukhrambam Bicky Singh who defeated Moirangthem Yaikhomba will lock horns with MD Mujahid in the sub-junior boys's 40 kg final.

Md Mujahid reached the final beating Moirangthem Kabiraj today. Md Miraj also reached the sub-junior boys' 43 kg final after beating Pheiroijam Ranbir in a semi-final bout today.
