3rd MNCA U-19 Men's One Day Trophy : PTRC cement position on top of Group E table with 9-wicket thrashing of SCCC

PTRC, Patsoi Part IV solidified their position on top of the 3rd MNCA U-19 Men's One Day Trophy Group D table with a 9-wicket thrashing of SCCC, Singjamei Thongam Leikai for the fourth straight win today.
SCCC, had to rue their decision to bat first this morning at Khudeiband Lampak as they slump to 59 all out in 21.4 overs with batters failing to stand up to the prolific bowling performances of PTRC.
PTRC then chased down the target in just 5.1 overs at the cost of only one wicket.
Only Oinam Jimmy 27 off 40 managed double digit for SCCC as other batters fell easy preys to PTRC bowlers Henba Paonam (4/12 in 6 overs) and Pheiroijam Tamarland (4/5 in 3.4 overs) and Laitonjam James (2/7 in 4 overs) .
In reply, Salam Richie scored an unbeaten 33 off 14 to steer PTRC to the target with Naoshekpam Ngambarel 7 not out off 4 after S Mangai was undone on 14 by Athokpam Rajesh.
Henba Paoanm was adjudged player of the match.
SHADOW post second Group B win
The day also saw SHADOW, Thangmeiband beat YPHUC, Lalambung by 31 runs to extend their winning run in the Group B competition at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground.
Put in to bat first, SHADOW gathered 160 for all wickets down in 23.5 overs thanks to leading knocks from Kh Devis 44 off 21, Y Bharatngamba 27 off 37 and S Lanchenba 18 off 19 before they bowled out YPHUC for 129 runs in 23.3 overs as S Lanchenba ran riot on the way to his five-for (5/38).Irom Sunny (5/50), Irom Ishor (2/25) and M Naseer (2/4) shone with the ball for YPHUC earlier but the batting department flopped as Lanchenba and Y Bharatngamba (2/22) shared a bulk of 7 wickets to set up their collapse.
Lanchenba was eventually adjudged player of the match.
PCC crush RULE by 10-wickets for third straight Group C win
Elsewhere at Lairenjam Public Ground, Lucky Thokchom produced a brilliant bowling performance to claim 6 wickets (6/13 in 8 overs) and set up RULE collapse at 116 in 33.3 overs with the assistance of Kangujam Boocker (2/34).Lucky 55 not out off 34 balls and Boocker 56 not out off 26 balls then stitched together and unbeaten 117-run partnership in 10 overs to earn the clinical win.
Lucky Thokchom was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Al-Ameen seal second win in three Group D matches
Al-Ameen, Lilong meanwhile sealed their second Group D win in three matches by beating PTCC, Patsoi Part III by 4 runs at Moijing Public Ground today.
Al-Ameen slumped to 101 all out in 25.4 overs as M Harishor (4/15), N Langamba (3/17) and L Herachandra (2/12) of PTCC wreaked havoc.
Maibam Ashique 49 off 41 was the highest scorer for Al-Ameen.
But the total proved too big to PTCC as Umar (4/30 in 8 overs) and Kh Hanif (2/40 in 7.4 overs) overhauled their performance to set up their collapse at 97 despite Somobanta's 38-ball 34 .
Umar who led in dismantling PTCC line up was adjudged player of the match.
