CYCLONE, REYS score third straight victory in 5th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy

CYCLONE, Thangmeiband and REYS, Nagamapal cruised to their third straight victory in the league round matches of the 5th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy today.
At Moijing Public Ground, Nongmaithem Dijiraj's 52 off 52 balls and Nameirakpam Arbin's 34-ball 41 for KCC went in vain as CYCLONE handed KCC, Kongba Bazar a 5-wicket defeat.
Md Al Bashid 37 off 40 balls and Laishram Kishan 36 off 33 balls provided major contributions to take CYCLONE to winning 136 for 5 wickets in 18.1 overs after toss winners KCC posted 133/4.Loktongbam Santosh 2/22, L Kishan 1/33 and N Suraj 1/13 were among the wickets for CYCLONE while N Singthoi 2/28, Sunil Salam 1/17, Janab 1/12 and Tayenjam Tomba 1/28 shared 5 wickets for KCC in a lost cause.
L Kishan, who produced an all-round show and steered his team to third straight Group B win was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Khudeiband Lampak, PTCC, Patsoi Part III crushed KSDO, Kyamgei by 8 wickets for their second Group C match after their first game was washed out by rain.
PTCC bowled out toss winners KSDO for 39 runs in 11.3 overs thanks to Mutum Gemson who ripped apart the KSDO line up by claiming 5 wickets for 14 runs with the assistance of Sohail Akram 2/5 and Naorem Victor 2/15.PTCC then chased down the target in just 4 overs with 8 wickets left to spare.
At Lairenjam Public Ground, TRAU, Kwakeithel, whose two winning streak was interrupted by rain hit abandoned match, further extended their winning run by beating MPSC by 5 wickets.
MPSC, after opting to bat first, posted 134/6 thanks to Sagolshem Sunil's 53-ball 61 and Maibam Bijoykumar's unbeaten 23-ball 24.Pukhrambam Prafullomani 47 off 33 balls and Kangabam Priyojit 48 off 34 balls however led the chase for TRAU before Mutum Swabhiman 8 off 9 balls and Thangjam Rishi 7 off 5 balls steered the team to winning 137 with one ball and 5 wickets left to spare.
K Priyojit 2/17 and Mutum Swabhiman 2/17 had earlier led the TRAU bowling attack as Thoudam Gelson returned with the best figures of 2/19 for MPSC.
Kangabam Priyojit who produced an all round performance was adjudged player of the match.
Meanwhile at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, REYS stretched their Group A winning run to thr"? games by beating WYC, Thoubal Wangkhem by 6 wickets.
REYS dismissed toss winners WYC for 86 runs in 18.3 overs thanks to Kangujam Ringku 3/11, Laishram Kiran 2/10 and Yungkham Romario Roy 2/24 before Ringku Kangujam scored an unbeaten 39 off 21 balls to take REYS to winning 89 in 12.2 overs.
