EWSCC fetes medal winners, national referees

Imphal, June 07 2025: Ema Wangthonbi Sports & Cultural Centre (EWSCC), Sagolband Tera Lukram Leirak organised a felicitation programme for medal winners of National Kurash championships, national referees, judo 'Sandan' (3rd degree black belt) achiever and Sahitya Academy Translation Award awardee at Rendezvous Shanglen on Saturday.

During the programme, Th Mangal and T Srivash, who won silver medal and bronze medal respectively, in the Sub-Junior National Kurash Championship 202425 held at Uttar Pradesh; Th Rohenba, who bagged a silver medal in the Junior National Kurash Championship 2024-25 held at Himachal Pradesh; EWSCC general secretary Soibam Ranbir, who has been granted 'San-dan' (3rd degree black belt) in judo; national referees Ng Surchandra and Ch Tomba; Sahitya Academy Translation Award awardee Soibam Indrakumar and EWSCC's noted members L Jameson, S Leishemba, K Dipu and K Angamba were presented simple gifts.

The programme was attended by Manipur Cultural Council president retired IAS Kangjam Radhakumar as chief guest and EWSCC president Thiyam Iboyaima as president, while LLVWA president S Dineshwore, LLBA president L Shirti and YBSC president S C Jayanta were guests of honour.
