Imphal, May 31 2025: Manipur claimed as many as three medals including a silver and two bronze medals at the 26th SubJunior National Rowing Championship which concluded today at Hussain Sagar Lake, Hyderabad.

Rajkumar Bidyajit won Manipur a silver medal in the sub-junior boys' 500 m single scull competition.

Bidyajit, son of RK Amarjit and RK ongbi Bidyarani of Moirang Konjengbam Leikai picked the silver medal in the competition taking 1 minutes and 38 seconds.

Meanwhile, Heisnam Swevia, daughter of Heisnam Inaobi and Heisnam ongbi Kamala of Karang Maning Leikai bagged a bronze medal finishing third in the 500 m single scull competition.

She finished third with a time of 1:56.60 (1 minute and 56.60 seconds).

The other bronze medal was won by Khwairakpam Bidyaluxmi and Leitanthem Prity who completed the 500 m double scull for U-13 girls in 1:59.90 .

Bidyaluxmi is the daughter of Khwairakpam Premchan and Khwairakpam ongbi Chandranganbi of Sendra Chingkhong while Leitanthem Pritty is the daughter of Leitanthem Joychandra and Leitanthem ongbi Doli of Moirang Oksungbung Lairenjam Leikai.

6 boys and 6 girls led by coach Khwairakpam Indira and manager Ahongsangbam Rupaban represented Manipur at the said championship.
