Imphal, August 19: Seventeen incidents of fire were reported in Bishnupur district between January 1, 2007 to July 31, 2007 .

According to a press release of Bishupur Fire Service Sub-Station, three incidents were of major fire, while two were medium, eight were minor and three were wild fire in the jungle.

Properties of around Rs 45,98,235.40 and Rs 7,13,335.40 in cash were destroyed in these fires.

However, fire service personnel saved around Rs 38,84,900 during this time.

The personnel also picked up one dead body from Bishnupur ward number VI and another two from Loukoipat during this time, added the press release.
