Imphal, May 11 2009: Rejecting the substandard construction of Nungleiband (Leimatak bridges along NH-53), volunteers of Zeliangrong Students' Union demolished the base pillars of the construction.

A press release of the union said that an inspection team of union found sub-standard materials were used in the construction by the contractors.

EE Bishnupur must also not be spared for this mess, the union said and urged the concerned authority to redress the same lest any form of agitation will be initiated.
