Imphal, July 09: Issuing a clarification on the news item published in this paper on June 29 last under the headline 'Oinamlong Students decry', the Oinamlong Students' Union today said that the wages of NREGS to be paid by the SDO Tousem to the village of 2007 only and not 2006-07 as mentioned, reports our Jiribam correspondent.

Meanwhile, volunteers of Zeliangrong Students' Union, Barak Valley has started keeping vigilant in Kalinagar area of Jiri with effect from today evening to check robbery which has been on the rise.

The step has been taken up after an emergency meeting of the Union at Lungreizang today.
