Imphal, December 26 2024: Senjam Chirang Meira Paibi Lup staged a sit-in protest against the killing and arrest of six village volunteers by security forces in Salungpham under Thoubal district.

The sit-in protest held at Senjam Chirang Community Hall urged the Government to immediately release the arrested six village volunteers by security personnel, to dismiss all the police personnel involved in the Salungpham firing incident.

The protesters also strongly condemned the recent imposition of AFSPA, 1958 in six police station of the State.
