Anti-merger bandh disrupts normal life

Imphal, September 21 2024: The 18-hr bandh called by armed outfit, National Revolutionary Fron t of Manipur (NRFM) against the signing of Merger Agreement between Manipur and India on September 21, 1949, disrupted the normal life on Saturday.

During the bandh, there was minimal vehicular movement along major roads in Imphal.

Shops in Thangal Bazar, Paona Bazar and surrounding markets remained closed.

Schools and petrol pumps also remained closed, while no passenger service vehicles operated on the roads.
