Tribute paid to fallen hero

Senapati, June 08 2025: A wreath laying ceremony was conducted at Maram on Saturday to honour the supreme sacrifice of lance naik (GD) Bhakta Bahadur Thapa, who laid down his life while fighting insurgents during an operation at Rezenhima in Nagaland on this day in 1962 .

As part of the event, wreaths were laid by attendees remembering the supreme sacrifice of the soldier.

A one minute silence was also observed during the ceremony.
