Imphal, January 07 2025:
Manipur Drivers' Association has urged relevant authorities of the State Government to grant pension to retired drivers above 60 years in age.
An MDA team led by president Saikhom Babudhon made the appeal during a financial aid extension initiative provided to Lourembam Khamba (72), a driver who has been rendered immobile due to a BP stroke.
He served the public as a driver for roughly 50 years.
Highlighting the importance of drivers, MDA mentioned the various assistive schemes launched by the Chief Minister and appealed to grant pensions to retired drivers in the same vein.
