Imphal, August 30 2012:
The Kuki Students' Organisation (Ghqs) has urged the Education Minister to immediately intervene to mitigate the problems faced by students who have chose to stay back in the State following their mass exodus from Bangalore and other South Indian cities.
A memorandum submitted to the Education Minister by the KSO pointed out that the fate of many students who fled south Indian cities in the wake of the recent hate campaign against the NE people are hanging in balance.
The BOSEM and COHSEM had denied admission of the fleeing students as the time for enrolment, registration and admission to its affiliated schools had expired.
As such, the KSO urged the Education Minister to intervene so as to save the careers of the students who had endured undeserving hardship.
