Imphal, July 21 2009: Acting on a credible information, Imphal West District Police Commandos arrested one PREPAK activist who came on a scooter bearing registration no MN1E-1019 along RIMS Road near Lalambung Makhong at around 9.15 am yesterday.

according to a statement issued by Senior SP of Imphal West District L Kailun today.

Identifying the arrested PREPAK activist as Laishram Boinao (37) s/o L Indramani Singh of Uripok Sinam Leikai, the SSP conveyed that on spot verification, Boinao disclosed that he joined PREPAK in June 2009 through one Sana aloas Loya of Lalambung Makhong.

On checking the scooter one Chinese hand grenade was also recovered from the tool box, the SPP further informed, adding that Boinao was assigned to extort money amounting to Rs 3,800 from Moirang College for party fund.
