Imphal, November 16 2024: The State Government has suspended internet and mobile data services in seven districts for two days with effect from 5.15 pm today.

An order issued in this regard by Chief Secretary D Vineet Joshi said that the suspension will cover data services including VSATs, broadband (IILL & FTTH) and VPN services in the territorial jurisdiction of Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kangpokpi and Churachandpur.

Lease lines and FTTH connection to Government offices or any case whereby the Government grants exemption will be exempted from the suspension, the order said.
