Imphal, July 15 2009: Ahead of the State Government's move to propose for a Bill during the ongoing Assembly session the State Cabinet today approved setting up of State Medical Council.

The Cabinet meeting presided by the Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh also consented upon referring the matter for the Governor's assent as a Bill.

other decision taken at the Cabinet meeting include upgradation of the Manipur Police Training School to MPT College with due consent also approved to commence related procedures.
