Imphal, February 07 2019: A large number of people staged a sit in protest demonstration at Changangei Uchekon condemning the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 and demanding its immediate withdrawal.

Speaking at the sit in protest, which was organised by Manipur People Against Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 (MANPAC) and clubs, organisations and Meira Paibis of Changangei Uchekon, president of Changangei Ucheckon Apunba Club Organisation Sharat Taorem stressed on the importance of the 60 MLAs of the State to understand the reason behind the opposition by the students, Meira Paibis, CSOs and the people of the State to the CAB.
