MSCW take up Suo-moto case
Manipur State Commission of Women has decided to initiate a suo-moto case against Shrimayum Dwijamani Sharma (55) of Khongman Zone-I who allegedly raped a girl at a farm at Meitram Makha Leikai on the intervening night of October 2 and 3.The decision followed a spot enquiry conducted on October 10 by a team of Manipur State Commission of Women led by its chairperson Dr..LIbetombi Devi at the residence of Shrimayum Babu Sharma of Khongman Zone-I, where the girl lived, according to a statement of chairperson, MSCW.

JAC formed
A Joint Action Committee has been formed in connection with the accident caused to N.Rebika Devi on the Wangjing Tentha Inter-village road by a bull belonging to one Md.Nasim Khan of Sangaiyumpham Puleipokpi Makha on October 6 last.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the silence of Md.Nasim Khan on the accident which led to serious injury of the victim, the JAC has appealed to the owner of the bull to come forward by October 12, failing which further course of action will be taken up against him.
