Imphal, July 15 2009:
The MPP Youth Front has urged the government to bring amicable solutions to the demands raised by DESAM and ATSUM in order to facilitate the suspension of the 120 hours general strike by DESAM and the indefinite economic blockade by ATSUM.
Stating that it is very unfortunate to witness general strike and economic blockade at this juncture when the people are already faced with problems relating to minimal monsoon rains, the general secretary (Admin) of the MPP Youth Front, Th Dilip Meitei also appealed both the students' bodies to withdraw their agitations in the interest of the public.
The Youth Front further stated that it will not tolerate to witness the miseries and hardships of the general public.
