Imphal, February 11: The proscribed PREPAK has strongly refuted the claim of the police that W Boy Singh (35) of Yairipok Pichi Makha Mayai Leikai who was arrested by Thoubal police commandos on February 9 from Yairipok Pichi is a member of the outfit.

In a statement, the Thoubal district commander of the outfit, Ajit Meitei said that the claim of the police that Boy joined the outfit in 2005 through one Sidaba and collected Rs 1.2 lakh and handed them over to Rocky the Thoubal district commander of the outfit is baseless.

It has become customary for the police to pick up innocent people and brand them as members of an underground outfit, said the statement.
