118 Tripura militants surrender

Agartala, February 15 2009:
All the members of the banned militant outfit Bru National Front of Twipra (BNCT) surrendered on Saturday night at Chamanu in Dhalai district of the state before security force.
Self styled president of the outfit, Pabanjoy Tripura (39), general secretary, Sukhijoy Tripura (41) and the outfit's army chief, Gajendra Reang (33) along with all the 118 cadres have surrendered last night with their weapons.
The group deposited 4 guns, 1 land-mine, 1 mortar besides some bullets and Bangladeshi currency of
1800 Taka.
BNCT had been working as ponytail of one of the two insurgent groups of the state, Nationalist Liberation Front of Twipra (NLFT).
BNCT was basically active in northern part of Tripura.
