Imphal, April 06 2017: Rongmei Lu Phuam (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) has clarified that Pou Johnson Kamei s/o Achui Kamei of Toulingpung, Noney district, who was arrested by police from Langol Game Village on April 4 is an innocent civilian and not a member of ZUF, as the authorities alleged.

A press release issued today by the organisation stated that Johnson is the son of the Khoupum area Village Authority Council's chairman and appealed to the authority to find out the truth before arresting an innocent civilian.

It further demanded the unconditional release of Johnson Kamei adding that the organisation would launch intense agitation if the demand is not met.
