Imphal, May 20 2009: The Joint Action Co-ordination Committee of IMC Employees' Association and Imphal Municipal Employees' Union, IMCE and Workers' Welfare Organisation have begun cease work strike from 5.30am of today (May 20) as the IMC authority failed to fulfill their demands, a statement signed by Ph Chaoba, secretary of IMCEA, RK Tarun, secretary of IMCEWWO, and K Bijoy, secretary of IMEU informed.

The JAC has been demanding release of pays for 23 months, implementation of Assured Career Progressive Scheme, payment of MPF balance sheet and one man-one post and no substitution in any post.
