CCpur, October 19 2015:
Nearly a month after cases of Dengue were confirmed in the district, the total number of people down with the vector-borne disease in the district has gone up to 19, according to data provided by the District Sentinel Centre.
There are ten other cases whose test results are said to be inconclusive with questionable presence of anti- bodies and will require re-tests after 8 to 10 days.
Except for the lone case from B Phaicham, the other cases appear to be restricted to Rengkai and its vicinity.
Nevertheless the inconclusive cases are from diverse localities.
Ever since the first cases of Dengue have been confirmed, the State medical fraternity has geared up to tackle any outbreak and has since conducted house-to-house survey and conducted massive fogging exercises in areas identified as prone to the disease.
It is also said that close to 200 suspected cases have been tested from the district so far.
