Bishnupur, July 12 2025: With the onset of monsoon season and the associated risk of waterlogging, Assam Rifles has taken a proactive step to protect public health by conducting a comprehensive fogging operation in Irengbam village, Bishnupur district.

According to a statement issued by PRO IGAR (S), the initiative, undertaken as part of civic action measures, aimed to curb the rising threat of mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue, malaria and chikungunya during the rainy season.

The fogging drive was carried out in close coordination with local community leaders and health officials, targeting residential areas, public spaces and waterlogged zones that serve as mosquito breeding grounds.
