Imphal, July 21 2009: The first foundation day of the Manipur Selmit Ehou Lup was held today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.

The celebration function was attended by state labour and employment minister, Ph Parijat as cheif guest and presided by the president of lup, H Manao.

CADA advisor, Joy Nongmaithem also attended the function as guest of honour and other attended the function as cheif guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Parijat ellaborately talked on the welfare programmes taken up by the government for the labour of the state.

He said that the wages of the labours fixed by the state government is not suited with the present prices of the essential commodities.

So, the same will be revised at the earliest.
