MSF team brings irregularities to light

Imphal, May 20 2009: An investigation team of Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) formed under its ongoing campaign eikhoi lairik ningthina tamsi during a visit detected some of the teachers at Kangpokpi schools were absent from their duties.

The team also noticed that benefits under mid-day meal scheme are not reached to the students.

Executive of the investigating team Ana Shah while talking to reporters today at its office said the team headed by MSF joint secretary Jibanlata found four out of 11 teachers of Kalapahar Junior High School depute substitutes in their place.

He further said that one Grade IV employee and a cook at Tumnoupokpi Government Junior High School are also taking classes.

Four out of 10 teachers are also deputing substitutes in this school as well, Ana Shah added.

He further informed the media that these two schools have not been getting any benefit under mid-day meal since January this year.
